Semos Education entered a government sponsored education programme for the young and unemployed. As a result, they offered a huge catalog of their courses with lowered prices. The main website could not satisfy the needs for presenting all this data to their potential students, so this micro-site was born.

Hundreds of Courses

There were hundreds of courses available to potential students. Each course belonged to multiple categories, had different pricing, discounts, and different types of gifts that were given to the students. We had to show all this information in one simple card, designed so the visitor could easily find all the info they needed.

It was a three column grid with fixed height cards, the visitor could easily apply for a course by clicking on the yellow “apply” button in the bottom right corner, or if they wanted to learn more they could click the “learn more” link in the bottom left corner and be taken to a full course page on the Semos Edu website.

Course Filters

All these courses presented the users (but also us) with the challenge, how to find the right course. To make things easier, there were two different filtering options. The first one, fixed filters by vendor, category, type and price. The second was a free search field that could filter based on a keyword match.

The filtering worked instantly since most of the data was already on the client side and there were no additional server requests.

Support Pages

As with any good micro-site, there was a comprehensive FAQ section that helped potential student make a decision on how to find and choose their future profession. Also, since applying for a course was done through a government agency website, we included a detailed guide with steps describing how to navigate, fill in the application and get to the desired course.
