BoosterCloud (now called Oblax) is a the cloud platform we developed inhouse to serve our growing pool of clients. It provides the backend logic for our client’s business apps. With it, a developer can quickly build an E-commerce, CRM, ERP, project management, or even a hybrid in-between solution that entirely serves your business needs.

We built the website as short information guide for our clients, so they’d better understand what Oblax is and how it works.

What is it?

That is a really tough question to answer, especially to someone that doesn’t understand our tech-lingo.

Luckily, we can always draw a diagram and make things clearer. That is exactly what happened. Along the words on the left we created a diagram that connects the dots for our clients and explains how their app, whether it runs on a mobile, desktop or on the web connects to the Oblax backend.

Features

Who doesn’t want a nice list of features. Although, there are many we decided to list only the ones that we think mean the most to our clients (but also to potential developers using the platform).

You are interested how a feature works, when will it be released, or maybe if you can get a “beta preview”? No problem, just click on the learn more button, and a popup with a contact form will show up that will let you directly contact us.

The BoosterCloud Offer

At the time there were only two offers for using the Oblax platform. By becoming a BeyondBasics client, and by subscribing to the platform as a developer. There were the two options not containing the actual pricing, because we still had not figured it out by then. What we knew was what those offers were. What you get as a business, and what you get as a developer.

Rebranding to Oblax

We needed a shorter name, something that would stick out, be easuer to remember, and honestly be clean for marketing purposes. We decided to go with the name Oblax which comes from “oblak” which means cloud in macedonian, Oblax is king of a plural play of the word “oblak” with an “s” at the end, in english used for plural. So “oblaks” or “oblax” for short.

With the name change, came also the branding update. We wanted to change the original logo which was derived from the BeyondBasics logo. The new one was based on overlapping circles depicting a cloud. In each invisible circle there is a rounded corner square depicting Oblax services added on top of each other, in different colors (functionalities) and sizes.

The Oblax Website

At the very end we also refreshed the (now) Oblax website. We updated the brown color to a light blue, mimicking a sky. As a secondary color we’re using orange which nicely accompanies the blue gradient. All elements of the website stayed in place, except for the copy change which was updated with the new name of the product.
